Well, I finally got around to deleting both my MySpace and Facebook accounts. The privacy issues were skeeving me out (especially with Facebook, my GOD), and it's not like I ever used either service anyway. For a while I justified leaving them active because it was an easy way for people to get in touch with me, but seeing as I avoided signing on SPECIFICALLY because I didn't feel like responding to all the friend requests and whatnot, I figured it was a sign that enough was enough and it was time to delete the damn things already. So...I did. I FEEL SO FREE!
It took me a million years to figure out how to "delete" as opposed to "deactivate" my Facebook account, though. They don't make it easy. Also, they're giving me 14 days to change my mind, and if I sign back in between now and then, the deletion goes away and I'd have to go through the whole process again. What the hell, Facebook? Gah.
Anyway, now I am trying to decide whether I want to play more "Monster Hunter Tri", or watch the first season of "Supernatural" while I knit. I'm kind of leaning towards the latter, mostly because I need to finish this silk scarf for Mom. We shall see.
Fuck, it takes so long for me to write anything nowadays. I still haven't been able to fix the problem with my keyboard, and while remapping was a great quick fix, it throws me off whenever I try to type anything because I keep forgetting about the remap and I have to backspace a million times over. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING, BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF BOOKS AND MOVIES AND GAMES AND THINGS I WANT TO TALK ABOUT.
In conclusion: boo hiss computers sadface blargh.
