janegodzilla: (la la la)
Mr. Darcy: My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire...and love you.
Elizabeth: ...WTF?!

Eeee, I love Pride and Prejudice so much! I put on the A&E version while I was baking earlier, because I like listening to movies and tv shows while I cook, and this part is one of my favorites. Poor, insulting idiot: "Elizabeth -- even though your family sucks, and I've tried really hard NOT to be in love with you, and I kept your sister and the love of her life apart, and you're way beneath my station...I love you. WANNAGETMARRIED?"

Elizabeth: NO! GTFO!!!!
Mr. Darcy: ...*emo!*

And then she falls in love with him anyway and they live happily ever after. Hee.

It's times like these where I realize that for all my pretended cynicism, I really am a diehard romantic who loves happy endings and soppy nonsense. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Bring on the soppiness, dammit! I'm all for it!

In other news, I've baked a fudge pie, which is basically butter, sugar, chocolate, and sheer, unadulterated sin. I expect to die of a heart attack and/or sugar overload within the week.
