janegodzilla: (i can explode things WITH MY MIND)
Well, if it does decide to snow later, I doubt it's going to stick. My walk to work was of the freakishly cold and rainy variety. Big surprise there, heh.

I think I'm going to try to find the GameStop near PSU tonight on my way home. I need to buy a memory card, and I'm sorely lacking in the game department. I had to run errands out by the mall last night and stopped in to see if they had any at EB Games, but to my immense surprise, they were sold out of PS2 memory cards.

Me: Bzuh?
Adorably Nerdy Clerk: Boxing day sales. We're out of everything that doesn't suck.
Me: Ah.

I suppose I could've checked the GameStop there as well, but the whole place was a teeming throng of obnoxious teenagers who had nothing better to do than jostle each other (and passers-by) and yell and take up space, and when I realized I was thinking in those terms, I felt incredibly old and had to leave. Nothing against teenagers in general, mind; it's just that the ones at the mall last night were irritating as fuck. I wanted to yell at them all to get off my lawn, and I don't even have a lawn.

Apparently, I have turned into a curmudgeon at the ripe old age of 24.

The Gamestop by PSU, on the other hand, will most likely be populated by college students, so that's all right. I just need to find a good game store period, I think. I used to love going into the one by my old apartment -- the guys who worked there were friendly, knew what they were talking about, always had good recommendations (one of them got me started on Psychonauts, for which I will be forever grateful), and I think finding a good game place is sort of like finding a good comic store. Which...is another thing I need to find, actually. To the Batmobile!
